Once again, I woke up early and headed to Tasek Lama. It was 6:10am and only a few cars. I guess everybody else is still lena dibuai mimpi.From what I can see, ambuk ambuk disini bangun lebih awal dari orang orang yang tinggal berhampiran. they are already doing their things i.e. making noise.
I managed to run 4.75K in 48:07mins. I started as usual from the parking lot and run uphills all the way to Bukit Salilah and run down to Sheraton. Sampai dibawah, aku naik balik and masuk hutan balik. Instead of going straight, I turn left taking the 'brutal' route as some of my friends call it because it is very steep going down and up the hills.
There was this one gurkha in front of me taking the same 'brutal' route. On flat land, he walks but going down hills, he runs. Berani berani, laju lagi tu. aku ani ikut tah jua turun laju laju tapi kerana takut terpelicuk macam last saturday, perlahan tah jua....tapi kira laju jua sikit. hilang tarus gurkha atu. Masa naik bukit baru tah ku nampak, bejalan ganya ia. i salute you man....ada ubi ada batas, lain bukit ku balas....
i remember ages ago 10 to 15 years ago, i would run down the hills with my friends. I've run down Bukit Patoi several times and it was fun and I didn't even injured myselves. macam terabang rasanya turun bukit a2, belompatan macam ambuk (heheheh.......). Belumba lagi sama kawan, turun tah laju laju....kan diliat sapa paling handal. Gunung Kinabalu.....udah jua ku merasai turun berlari. To me it is much easier running down or up hills on natural ground instead of man made concrete/wooden stairs. Hopefully nanti, di Bukit Shahbandar, I can run with no mishaps.
Trail running. When is the best time to beat other racer. Flatland, Uphill or Downhill ? For me it is during uphill and downhill....that is the best time because at that time banyak orang takut turun bukit and banyak orang kepisan naik bukit. Flatland.....semua orang bulih buat. You attack when they are most vulnerable/weakest. But...there is a but.....You are good at going uphills but at the top kepisan.......sia sia saja, kana potong oleh orang yang lambat naik bukit. Turun bukit laju...tapi udah dibawah, jalan kaki....sia sia saja.....Develop your skills, develop your stamina, develop the attitude to win and you will..........someday !!!
