Hongkong marathon 2011 – brunei runners results

Half Marathon 21km – Senior Category

Last year Sefli got 1st place with a time of 1:15:39. This year even though his time was much faster 1:15:26 but he got 6th place. The other runners were way much faster than him. More news from here – Brunei Times

Monday - morning 1km run, afternoon swim 1100m n after work bike 33km
Tuesday - morning swim 1000km and after work UF
Wednesday - 1100m swim + 35.89km bike
Thursday - after work easy run 10km run
Friday - flyin off to KK
Saturday - Borneo Headhunters HAT Ultimate Frisbee Tournament.
Sunday - rest

Training for the Aviva Ironman 70.3 is below par, I think so. 3 weeks to the event. 2 weeks for the training and 1 week tapering. Since this is my first half Ironman, so the target is to finish the race and if possible to get it under 6:30 hours.

The ultimate frisbee tournament in KK was excellent. It was hot all day long and I managed to score a few points. More on this..........

Monday - lunch swim 2000m
Tuesday - morning 5km run and 4.45km walk Maulud Procession
Wednesday - morning lazy run 1km
Thursday - lunch time 1500m time trial swim -39mins
Friday -Morning 10km time trial -50.03mins & UF session after work
Saturday - morning gym brick 8km bike + 2km run
Sunday - rest

It's always raining late afternoon thus I don't have a chance to do my bike training. If these continues, my bike fitness n endurance will not be improving. Ketinggalan jauh ni karang.........gonna try long ride during the national day.

Monday - Morning 18.5km run from Muara Town to Home and afternoon UF throwing practice
Tuesday - Afternoon 2000m swim
Wednesday - Morning brick session - 2k+8K+2K+5K+2K, Afternoon swim 1.5k and UF training
Thursday - Morning swim 2.5km and afternoon 20km lazy bike ride
Friday - Morning 6.42km run and afternoon UF practice
Saturday - rest
Sunday - morning 96km bike ride

6km swim, 129km bike and 30.92km run for this week. Some improvements and some are not. Tomorrow I'll be back to work and will have less time for training but I'll try as much as possible to train.

Monday - rest / UF throwing practice
Tuesday - Afternoon swim 2000m and 1.5km run / UF practice
Wednesday - morning 90km bike ride followed with 1000m swim and UF practice
Thursday - Morning 5km run
Friday - morning 12.4km run and afternoon 8km bike / UF practice
Saturday - morning bike ride 93.03km (with time trial 27km)
Sunday - afternoon Ultimate friendly match

Managed to swim 3km, 191km bike and 17.9km run. Not much but still it is an improvement. Need to do more swimming and a little of speed run and less UF.

Ultimate Frisbee – 3X a week

February target – swim – 20km, Bike – 800km  and Run - 100km

Again and again and again, I’ve told myself to put more effort and distance in the training. 46 days to go and if berterusan macam ani, gerenti sakit masa belumba ni.

But no worry I still have time to practice.

Other than training for Aviva 70.3 Singapore, I’m also training for the Ultimate Frisbee tournament in KK, Sabah which will be held on 20th February 2011. Triathlon (swimming, cycling and running) is my sport but Ultimate Frisbee is my hobby. Last year I didn’t play that much but this year I’m hoping to play as much as possible.
